A chat with strength and beauty: Rania Gamal

July 7, 2016 4:52 am

Crunch Community connected with Ms. Rania Gamal who is a model and a fitness enthusiast.

After being in conversation with her, we have finally understood Rania as not just the fitness lover and great model but got to see her fun side too!

1. How did you get started with healthy living and the fitness journey?

After I got sick and tired listening to other models who are sharing conversations about diets and trying out 100% of them, some of them do not work and some do until you stop the diet and you gain all again. Also, I have observed that some media constantly post photos of skinny women and make it seem that skinny is beautiful so I decided to completely changed my way of thinking and instead of trying to get skinny – I focused on becoming strong and healthy.

2.     What motivates you to keep going?

When I see improvement and feel comfortable and confident about my self but don’t rush. Every thing takes a bit of time but once you see the change this will be your motivation. I always find a way to motivate my self, I mean who doesn’t want to feel great?

3. What’s your daily routine?

I wake up early morning I brush my teeth and drink half litter of water on empty stomach to detox and clean my body, followed by making a protein shake or preparing breakfast that is high in protein and nutrition. Afterwards, a little later through my day I go to Milan pole studio to do some stretching and strength training (pole fitness). When I get back I am normally starving after my workout so I have a fresh & healthy lunch like a low-calorie, no sugar-peanut- butter sandwich with salad. In the evening I either go for some classes at the studio or go to the gym and do body toning workouts then I have a nice and early dinner with my family.

4. Are you working towards a goal? What do you want to achieve in life?

Oh yes I might have a little too many goals. I never stop dreaming of more exciting thing to do in my life, right now I am working on my final exams for my University so my first goal is to get my post-graduate degree with flying colours.

2nd: Travel most of the world with the love of my life 😉  and write a book

3rd:  Learn and speak Spanish

4th: Get even more fit and sexy!

5th: Learn to be a makeup artist

6th: Learn how to cook Japanese food

5. Most people lose weight but don’t have the motivation to maintain it. So how do you keep yourself on track consistently?

Try not to lose weight fast lose weight with a great healthy diet and workout.

Be careful what you eat and drink, just have one cheat day in a week.Look how you made it so far and stay in the same routine. Keep yourself busy with other things as some people eat when they get bored.

6.If you were to give a tip to first timers who are afraid to make the leap to a healthy lifestyle, what would it be?

Don’t be afraid to start is never too late, and it’s all in your hands. I would say start by making a list of what you need to stop and what is not healthy for you. Ask your self and write down things that you would like to change to and think that healthy food are really tasty and it’s not a diet.

7. What are your plans for the second half of 2016?

I will travel back to Egypt to see some of my family then I’ll go back to Dubai and off to Berlin and Barcelona and drive from there down the coast of Spain and of course work out also and enjoy some of my time with the best party scene.

8.  If you could only do one thing for the rest of your life what would it be:

  1. Yoga
  2. Pilates
  3. Strength training I would do strength training.
  4. Zumba
  5. Running

9.  Do you have an inspiration or role model you look up to, someone who keeps you going to stay fit?

Yes, I do have a role model. I love Ciara, Nicole Scherzinger and JLO -they have amazing feminine fit bodies, they are not skinny but slim and toned.

10. How do you balance being fit while being a busy model?

I find time before I go to work or I will try to wake up earlier to do my workout or either in the evening and definitely, it’s an effort, working out harder is a habit – if you continue doing it, you find time for it, you don’t make excuses and you believe in yourself – you will achieve it.
